T89: Images of Hong Kong

Heading to my hometown of HK in a few weeks, for a few days. These pics were taken on my last trip out there. Lots of colour, texture and variety...much like the country itself. Having been raised there from the age of 2 to 19 (1979-1997), something that I have always loved about the place is it's tremendous diversity and yet balance; a perfect blend of old & modern, Eastern & Western. To grow up in such surroundings, a metropolis with mountains & islands as well as culture & technology - a cosmopolitan city - that was as safe as a country village, is something I shall always treasure.
These photos represent snapshots which are not particularly the usual scenes to be seen. On my next trip I intend to capture what life is really like out there on a daily basis for the masses...until then, enjoy these:
