thanks @rebeccabe I love taking photos of seagulls

@claudiaz Well, you are good. In one of my photo classes, we picked a subject and focused on it. Mine was the abstract elements. ( I know weird) but I wanted to. And you work with that subject. Yours might be seagulls.

Every week get more photos and you will find out how to get better and better. Don't try and plan it too much. Pick your lens and go get the photos.

It is also nice to get some photos printed up. It is not expensive and so wonderful to see them in 3D instead of the computer. I had a couple made bigger put on matt foam board. Submitted in a contest and won a couple of awards. Photography is so fun.

tag me with your next photos of seagulls please

thanks @rebeccabe, I appreciate the feedback, I am totally self taught so this coming from someone who has attended classes means a lot to me. I will certainly tag you next time.

great .. last August my husband gave me a camera for our anniversary and I signed up at the community college for classes... so I mostly self taught

The classes made all kinds of difference for feedback and how to use my camera.

The main thing is you know how to frame the shot ..that is the most important part.

We are artists... so just because we don't get paid as a living or been to all the big schools doesn't mean we can't be good at our art.

you are so right, I always that some people "just dont see it" the same way others do!
