Autumn Harvest - 秋の収穫

Perhaps the single most important crop in Asia: Rice, is seen here hanging to dry after being cut, later the grains will be separated from the remaining stalks and leaves, then processed to become the familiar grains we enjoy in a great variety of dishes. Above is short grained rice, the most common and nearly exclusive variety of rice sold in Japan. Ironically, it's far easier to get different kinds of rice in Canada, than it is to find anything other than short grain rice here in Japan.

アジアで元も重要な食物品：お米。上で乾燥させています。この後、米粒と葉っぱや茎と分別して、いつも見ているお米に変身します。以外とカナダではたくさんの米の種類が簡単に手に入るが日本ではなかなか見つけられないですね！美味しいなのに、タイ米、ジャスミン米、長い米など。。。
