The Matterhorn
Perspective shades everything in life. It's not the situation itself that determines how we think and act; its how we view the situation. Here is a slightly different take on the classic Matterhorn sitting at 4,478 metres (14,692 ft). Shot while enjoying the winter sun from the summit of the neighboring Klein Matterhorn (Little Matterhorn) at 3,883 metres (12,740 ft). The Matterhorn forms the main watershed and border between Switzerland and Italy with Italy to the left of frame and Switzerland right of frame. The shot below is a closer zoom to get some more detail of the mountain. Pennine Alps, Valais. Both shots taken on Fuji Velvia slide film. Switzerland.
