Qatar's ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Abdul Aziz al-Mana said that his country will take a lot of workers from Bangladesh for low-cost immigration expenditure. These workers will be taken to create infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup and Bangladesh will be given priority in different sectors.

Ministry sources said, in the meeting, they discussed various issues related to mutual interests. They discussed the details of recruitment of Bangladeshi workers in Qatar.

Qatar's ambassador to the Middle East's country, Qatar, said there was a demand for a lot of workers in various sectors, including the construction sector in Qatar. On the occasion of 2022 Football World Cup, they will need 50 thousand workers to build infrastructure. In this case the Qatar government wants to give Bangladesh the highest priority.
He said that the work efficiency of Bangladeshi workers is much more than any other country's workers. But most of the Bangladeshi people are often cheated by middle-life partners. Now the workers will be taken for the low immigration expense.
Expatriates' welfare minister said that Qatar is one of the labor markets in Bangladesh. Currently there are about 200,000 Bangladeshi workers in the country. We will send manpower at a low cost in light of new needs. Meanwhile, middle-class owners can not take any advantage.
He said that the government data bank has 2.2 million workers registered to go abroad. From this data we will send workers. So there is no scope to cheat here.
Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Secretary Khandakar Iftekhar Haider, Director General of Manpower Export and Training Bureau (BMET) Begum Shashun Nahar were also present.
