Silhouette Islands
From a boat off the cost of Auckland, New Zealand, I was able to capture these two islands while moving. What I like most about this photo is how the clouds almost look like a painting or watercolor creation. However, the lower portions with the sea and islands look clear and photographic. Overall, the dark and shady tone is contrasted with the crisp black islands. It gives me a feeling similar to a "light at the end of the tunnel" type of scene.
This was taken with my Nikon D700 and 70-120mm f/2.8 lens at 120mm, 1/6000th sec, f/6.7.
