Our city of Glazov is located on the river Chepca.

All could not get to write a post and take a picture of our river in the city. And this river is an integral part of our city. The bridge, which connects the two banks, goes directly to our central Freedom square-the heart of the city. All the main events are held on Liberty Square and partly on the bridge. Or rather, for example the salute on May 9 is installed behind the bridge, and the people see it on the square. It turns out that he practically passes directly over the river. About fishermen generally keep quiet, they can be seen all along the river, both within the city and outside. The source of the river begins in a remote village in the Perm region. I was there, the places are deaf taiga, barely got by cars, but the fishing was a success, and it was just interesting to see where it originates from. Sorry for the photos did not survive. It flows almost more in the northern part of our republic: Karsovayskiy, Debessky, Balezinsky, Glazovsky and Yar districts. It flows into the Vyatka River in the Kirovka area, near the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk. The length of more than 500 km. The current is very fast. In some places the forest is rafted along it. There are a lot of beaches. We have an urban, well-organized city in the city, and for the city-road (as it was called because it can only be driven by car).
Historically, the city was formed from settlements of the Udmurts, who first settled along the river. Excavations are being conducted on ancient settlements. One of them near the city, everything found there is exhibited in the museum of local lore and the museum "Idnakar", who is interested, posts about these museums are in my blog.
