Night butterfly (Hyles livornica)- SteemitPhotoChallenge #4 Entry
To me this looks like Hyles livornica, yet Hyles family includes more than 1000 species, so it’s not always easy to identify.
It’s a night butterfly, which flies during the warm season, and can reach the speed 50 km/h.
They hangs over the flower like a hummingbird, which is why they are often mistaken.
This shot was made in La Gomera island this summer.

about 40-50 mm, nothing so enormous:)
The little guy next to him makes him look so much bigger haha
