Picture Summary of my trip to Ecuador (June-July 2016) Part 2

in #photography7 years ago

So here I bring you the second part of this wonderful journey I had to Ecuador in 2016.

The last place we visited on the previous part was The Middle of the World Monument Park, which was thrilling and totally worth it the 14$ we paid for the tickets.

For this second part, the summary is a little bit more focused on visiting malls and parks in the north and south of Quito.

A cousin living in Quito told me about a really cool mall called Quicentro, which has 2 different facilities in the city, one in the north and the other one in the south. First we visited the Quicentro Norte (north). But on our way there, since we went there by bus, we had the opportunity to walk by some streets that seem to conform the financial district of the city. Take a look at the amazing buildings we saw.

To reach Quicentro Norte we had to cross the beautiful and huge Las Carolinas Park, and we finally got there.

This picture shows another of the streets that called my attention due to its amazing buildings, El Salvador Av.

On the way back to the inn, we stopped by another one of the most visited parks in Quito, El Ejido. This is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature, and crowded with people at all times.

This is a smaller park compared to El Ejido or Las Carolina, but still it is very nice and quieter than the other ones. This is Alameda Park.

The previous time we visited Centro Histórico, we couldn't visit the Palacio de Carondelet (the presidential palace) because there were no tour visits allowed. But we researched on the schedules and we went back there to get our tour in it. And I have to say, we didn't waste our time.

Look at the amazing presents the president of Ecuador received from other governments.

Here you can see the presidents' room.

Pay attention to the president's painting with a white background. The tour guide said president Abdala Bucaram got this painting done this way because he was kind of crazy.

This is a great mini mall near the Main Square.

Some streets around the presidential palace.

Here you have a panoramic view of the south of Quito from the inn's terrace.

On the next part I'll be showing you more of my visit to Quito Ecuador.

All pictures were taken by me using Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 built-in front (VGA) and rear (3.15 MP) cameras.
