What a wonderful person the bee keeper is! I had a similar experience in Taiwan. I arrived very late in an area with no places to rent for the night and a tea farmer let me sleep in his home. People around the world really do have compassion and caring in their hearts, despite what our "leaders" would imply.
How did you manage with the language?
Oh, it was hard. I didn't speak Turkish or Kurdish at all and usually they don't speak English too. So it was a big problem and a shame that we couldn't understand each other fully and go into deepen conversations.
The other time I also slept at tea farmer house in Turkey! Great view, I thought I'm in India :)
