Crazy Photos from Vietnam (Pt. 3: Hoi An Lantern Festival)
A much belated part three to my Vietnam photo series-- I couldn't help but snap some photos last night as we walked the the Hoi An old town for the yearly Mid-Autumn lantern festival. Traditionally the festival is similar to Halloween in the west. It is a chance for the kids to dress up and have fun with their parents, who would be in the middle of the yearly harvest. These days, the kids still dress up and have fun, but there's also a huge tourist element and the night life goes crazy. My friends and went bar-hopping, and I brought Shirin's camera along to snap some photos. I put it on a long-exposure setting, and I really enjoyed how they came out. Definitely some of the coolest photos I've taken in a long time-- check em out!
Hoi An is such a nice place. I also loved it. It's one of my favourite.
