Swapmeet Finds #3278
November 1968 (in Shirl's world) and we're visiting one of my favorite places - "La Cuesta Encantada". Also known as "Hearst Castle" in San Simeon, California. I've only been there once, but I fell in love with it immediately. So much beauty, so much history, so much eccentricity. To me at least, all of that is enough to make you forget that its original owner was a somewhat unsavory character.
Here we have a picture of the stunning Neptune Pool. Rather an odd angle. Not the best. But what do you expect from tourists, anyway? :-)
Beautiful view of that place.
This trip of Shirl's reminds me of similar trips my family took as a child, around the same era...Madonna Inn, San Francisco, Hearst Castle :-)
We need to visit the Madonna inn again. But I’ve never visited Hearst Castle.
We definitely have to go there then. <333
Yup, all the hot spots along the coast route... :-)
