Adventures & Explorations #21

in #photography6 years ago

Still looking at a few pics from my trip back to Michigan in 2001. In between revisiting old teenage stomping grounds, I also checked out a few sights I hadn't seen before. For instance, here we are at "Kellogg's Cereal City USA" in Battle Creek, Michigan. Very cool, but apparently, this place didn't last very long. According to Wikipedia:

"Kellogg's Cereal City USA was a tourist attraction in the downtown area of the city of Battle Creek, Michigan (itself nicknamed "Cereal City"), open to visitors between 1998 and 2007. The attraction aimed to tell visitors the story of the Kellogg's brand, its products and contribution to the breakfast cereal industry in particular."

And since we can't see this facade too well in my crumby picture (due to the sun's glare), here's a more modern pic found on the web:

Something we can revel from history.

Maybe people found out what an anti-sexual perv old Mr. Kellogg was and interest in the story faded. LOL

Who knew? Not me and I don't even wanna know... :-)
