Life decisions without testing... :-)

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Hi again!

If you saw my first post here you know I'm (seriously) into photography. Not as taking easy snaps (nothing against it, whatever you like!), but more like "slow food", something deeper with a hint of meaning.

At the beginning I was thinking about being professional photographer. In time I understood that going after professional photography would probably ruin how I feel about it. When you know you have to do it, to simply finish another job...

I believe, it would kill mystical experience attached to the process of freezing time.

Maybe it's rationalization of my own decisions, you can never be sure of anything without possibility of testing... but how you can test your life decisions?

Maybe it's trivial but ... what do you think?

I create for living 3d visualizations for designers and architects, and sometimes yes its hard because the client has not the same vision like you about the image you are creating. So you do something you don't like but you need to do it to finish the job and keep the client happy.

"In time I understood that going after professional photography would probably ruin how I feel about it." - I quote what you wrote. When photography remains a big passion, you can be free; you can express yourself, your vision of life. Starting to do it like a pro can change totally your approach. You start to have deadlines, you start to do shots just because you must do it. You start to take shots for people and not for you. It is totally different. For these reasons, I totally agree with you :)
