Columns of light over Canadian New Brunswick
Columns of light appeared over Canada's New Brunswick last weekend and were captured by the image of the abyss of the Moncton town of Sophie Melanson.
The images of these illuminated columns naturally attracted the attention of thousands through social networking sites.
The phenomenon of these light poles, or solar columns, is known to occur when light, whether natural or industrial, collides with ice crystals floating in the atmosphere close to the earth.
Melaneson says she saw these lights around 11 pm, and she was growing and her luster became stronger and she hedged in the area where she lives.
It lasted all night until 6 am.
