This is why people tend to aim for lenses that range between the 105-135mm range when doing portraits to avoid distorting their facial features (cropped sensor or not). Without this comparison, most people don't see it unless you're talking about a 200mm lens Vs. a Fisheye lens. If you get too wide, you have to get super close to your subject and their nose points at you like an outstretched finger. On the flipside, if you choose a lens that has too much telephoto, their ears look like they've grown out of their temples.

But....fisheye lenses are still fun. :)
