A BUNCH of HAIRY caterpillars

I came across this bunch of hairy caterpillars this afternoon and thought it would be a great entry to @papa-pepper's combination photography contest that he's now regularly holding.

They look good enough to stroke, don't they? Of course I didn't because I don't want caterpillar hairs stuck in my hands. Its an experience I've had before, not much fun.

But these are rather beautiful. They are the caterpillar form of the Cape Lappet Moth which is actually rather dowdy.
