Edit your photos like a Pro!
Are you tired of your images looking boring and dull?
If this is you and you want to take your photos to the next level, here is my workflow when editing portrait photos.
Here is my checklist when editing my portrait photos in Photoshop:
- Remove any obvious blemishes and stray hairs using the spot healing brush tool and patch tool
- Add my favourite Camera Raw preset (I always use VSCO and mainly the Agfa Vista 100 or 400 series)
- Do some frequency separation which smooths skin the right way by maintaining skin texture and you can remove any further blemishes
• 4. Dodge and Burn on specific areas at a time. Eyes, Face, Lips, Nose, Jaw Line, Body and Hair are the individual areas I treat.
- Do some frequency separation which smooths skin the right way by maintaining skin texture and you can remove any further blemishes
- Add any additional levels/curves to brighten/darken specific areas of the image.
- Finish off the image with custom curves to create the specific tone I am going for.
And thats the checklist I always follow when do any portrait work. Here are a few more of my images where I followed the same workflow.
