Portrait Contest CLARIFICATION. 3SBD Portrait Photography Contest.

I've had a lot of people asking if the Portraits have to be wedding portraits? No! This can be any kind of Portrait Photography and the single winner will walk away with 3SBD in guaranteed prize money

First of all thank you to everyone that has already entered the #weddingcontest

Remember you have until the 14th of January at 2359GMT to get your wedding photos in for the #weddingcontest where the winner will receive 5SBD. As for the Portrait contest yesterday when I announced the post I said that the prize would be 2SBD as a separate prize. I have decided to put the SBD that this account earns from the last two posts directly into the Portrait Photography prize for an increased amount of a guaranteed 3SBD minimum.

After some confusion over tagging I can confirm that to enter the Portrait Contest, you will need to use the tag - #proportraitcontest on your post. Please note that you DO NOT have to be a professional. It's just a tag that isn't currently being used that I can use to figure out who is actually entering!

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that the Portrait Contest may be the more popular one at the moment, and I'm happy to run that alongside the Wedding Contest indefinitely if I can afford to do so. Essentially the aim here is to create a real community of Wedding Photographers, but that doesn't mean we don't want to invite Portrait Photographers into the fold so to speak. If you're in the industry of photographing people, then we're all in it together!

I'd also like to take a moment to say that this is in no way an exclusive contest. You are totally entitled to enter the same image into other contests, in fact I would highly recommend doing so! Some of my favourite contests to enter are @photocontests daily competitions run by @juliank - if you're not entering those already please check them out, they are a great place for exposure and the standards are increasingly high! @photocontests also do a Portraits category once a week, by all means feel free to enter images to both, or even add the #proportraitcontest tag to your entry!

I'd also like to give a quick shout out to the fantastic @czechglobalhosts who do a fantastic job with their ongoing 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge. Again, if you aren't following them already please do take a look, the images are stunning and it's another contest well worth getting into!
