My lake

Today is a public holiday in Italy. All of Italy celebrates Ferragosto.
This is the day of the Madonna Assunta.
Christian holiday, symbolizing the moment of transition of the virgin Mary in the camp of saints. During the Roman Empire in mid-August, farmers usually did not work in the fields, animals (donkeys, Buffalo, bulls) stood in the stables and did not work in the fields, they were given flowers and gave rest from work as well.
Everyone celebrated and had fun in August, the most fertile summer month, so since ancient times the Romans and later Italians have preserved this tradition.
The whole of Italy in August does not work, most businesses go on vacation and begins the General movement of Italians from North to South, to the sea, to the southern part of Italy on the beautiful beaches.
We rest on the lake, where I get very positive emotions, looking at the water and waterfowl.
