As I was doing my job today, I had to go to the city of Ringsted..

Had some spare time to explore the city, and find some motives to capture🙂

Sct. Bendts Cathedral situated in the town centre

Sct. Bendts Cathedral was built, and taken into service in the year of 1170. A great fire destroyed a big part of the church in 1241. The rebuilding of the church started immediately after, and in the year of 1268, the church was ready for service again.

The church contains many lordly and royal graves, historical characters like Valdemar den Store, Knud 6., Valdemar Sejr, Erik Menved and Erik Plovpenning are buried here👍

The park surrounding the church

Surrounding the church is a beautiful and rather large park area, a perfect place for a little walk🙂

Situated in the city centre, a part of the town square, this is a great attraction for tourists, and others who are interested in history, especially royal danish history🙂

I definitely recommend that if you are in the area, you should pay this place a visit👍
