Love hot springs. We've got some back in SA too. They have swimming pools that is filled with the hot water from the springs. Makes for a lovely swim. Thank you for telling us more about your Wyoming springs.
Yes, there's a pool here filled from it. We didn't go there this time, but maybe sometime in the future.
I've actually been to one of the ones in Iceland as well... in February, so there was ice around the pools! (Out doors!)
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow that sounds amazing. So much we don't know and so many places we'll never see. So fantastic that we can all share and learn on here. Love learning about places I might never get to see. 😊
It's one of the things I love about Steem! I can see so many awesome places around the world - I know I'll never have time to see them all - even if I had the resources required! So,yes... I can see your beautiful beaches and things and you can see my hot springs (and beaches from time to time too.)
These are more beautiful shots of a super cool place! I love the steaming stream! I would be curious to know how far away from the spring you would have to go before the water wouldn't burn you, but I totally understand you not wanting to be the guinea pig!
Well, the public facilities are a few hundred feet down the hill, not very far, really... but according to the website, the temp there is 104F. Very warm, but comfortable.
Well, that's just cheating! I was picturing holding some reprobate upside down and dipping him in every fifty yards and seeing when he stops blistering. That's terrible. I guess I need more caffeine and then I will stop being mean. Haha.
Use your most persuasive tactics! Farm stories are my favorite! I don't know if I could actually write horror. I have the flashes of horrible ideas, but I don't think I could inflict them on anyone, even a fictional character. I'm also pretty sure I can't do plot, which is a problem, I gather. That's why the five minute freewrite is so fun. I don't have to commit!
"Flash fiction" is also a thing - especially on Steem.
It is very difficult to torture your characters. The scene from the just-ended book, where Jilia gets hurt was very difficult to write. And the scenes in the next one were even more difficult at times.
I will try. She's also a helicopter pilot, so I have no doubt she would have endless stories for us. (And a volunteer firefighter... she's awesome!)
It's one time I wish you were on Facebook. I'd hook you two up and next time you're across the hill, you could visit her. :-)
She's got a small herd of angus.

Hahaha - you need to write more... But you'll write horror... she loves to torture her victims... (I mean characters.)
I'm trying to get one of my local cousins to join Steem, btw. She would add another set of awesome farm stories.

Oh for Pete's sake! She sounds awesome! Make her come visit me! I always wanted to be a pilot. I'm turning a little green.
