Searching for spring
13.8 inches of snow in Minneapolis and I’m over here searching for spring. I admit that it’s pretty when it snows but I hate the trouble of cleaning it up. I was looking forward to spring finally arriving. I was also planning some outdoor activities but it’s all been ruined.
Yesterday was kind of an emotional day for me. I tried to clear the snow away with a snowblower but it was too heavy for me to push because I’m a midget. I also slipped, landed on my back and pulled a couple of muscles. Then my phone started acting up and wasn’t functional. Sometimes I’ve got the worst luck.
@kommienezuspadt’s away for the next two weeks so he did what he could to comfort me from a distance. I had a lot of complaints, mainly me whining about my physical weakness. I’m bummed that he’s not home but I’m glad that he was lucky enough to made it out of Minneapolis before the blizzard hit.
Everything sorted itself out today. I found one of our old phones to use then I was able to run a couple of errands before going to the Apple store. @iamredbar helped me get a replacement phone and @bryanpolitte came over to helped me shovel. I feel fortunate to have such great friends. Now I just need the snow to vanish and for spring to appear.

Mid April with that much snow? Utter madness.
Having a day like that topped off with techno trouble must have been the cherry on top I'd imagine.
Yeah, bad timing because it’s definitely not safe to travel outdoors without a functioning phone. I’m glad I got it figure out.
You sound like my wife. She is always complaining about the cold. Sadly I am terrible when it is warm. Above 25°C I become grumpy, and above 30°C I am only able to lie naked in a dark room. My oldest daughter is the same, so this year we are going to Iceland in the summerholiday :)
Haha! That’s funny because I’m actually terribly grumpy when it gets to warm. 25°C is within my comfort zone. One degree higher or lower gives me mood swings. Which is why I prefer spring and fall over the other seasons. I’ve heard great things about Iceland. I hope to visit too someday!

HAHA, I can’t apologize enough to my partner because around others I keep my discomfort to myself but with him he get’s an earful!
Yes, the same here, but at least I am living in a cold country where I can go happy into the freezing mist.

it's also getting cold here but not snowcold, just raincold... so i guess i have no grounds to complain XD
but it will be warm again this thursday (27C) so i guess that's just how melbourne is. updownupdown.

I’d definitely take the rain over the snow at this point. Just so I can see the plants finally growing. The weather here is tricky too. Two weeks ago we were hitting the high 30s-40s (°F) now we’re dropping back down to the 30s then back up to the 60s. I’ll have to take pictures today of how high the snow is.
That's just evil using those pics. Do you have any idea how hard it is to read your post when it's surrounding those?

Hope you aren't too sore today. I went and screwed my ankle up yesterday. Blah, summer can come anytime.
Bummer! You okay? Yeah, I was acting like a hot shot the day it happened then the next day I woke up feeling stiff. I’m still pretty sore and I might need to get an adjustment or a massage. It kinda feels like whiplash.
It will be ok, only a light sprain. I would get an adjustment for sure my mother fell on the ice and it bothered her for years. Better just to get yourself sorted as soon as you can. Chronic pain is no fun.
That’s good. Sprains suck. Yeah, I’ll try visiting my normal practice to get fixed up.
Where I live, we don't have snow ever! And hot is eternal! Sound like hell... But It's pretty, is like a never ending summer
That would make me a little sad because I can’t stand humidity. Spring and fall are a necessity.
Well, there are places in my country where It's always cold and others where It's dry weather all the time.
That definitely seems to be the way things go... one thing goes wrong, and then another, and it just kinda piles one thing on top of the other. At least it sounds like things turned around, though!
Also, these photos are beautiful - great use of light. I am loving that wallpaper. And the placement of the mirror/flowers.
