Let’s get lost

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

With spring’s late start, there isn’t enough green sprouting outside so I felt like now would be the right time to share more images from the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

I wish I could set up camp in this lovely oasis. The perfect temperature, the right amount of sunlight and of course the beautiful sights and smells. If I had a green thumb then I’d welcome as many plants as I could into our home.

This gorgeous statue was found at the entrance of the first room.

I took a few moments to admire it and to watch the coy fish gracefully glide around the pond.

The sun was setting slowly and the leaves began to shimmer.

Small flower blossoms hidden in green are my favorite.

The last image I snapped before moving to the next room was this adorable little plant. I looked it up and it seems to be a popular plant to keep in a terrarium. If we decide to get little Pygmy Chameleons and these plants aren’t toxic to the critters then maybe I’ll throw them in the same tank.

Thanks for stopping by to view all these beautiful plants. 🦊

I hope they bring you inspiration like they have for me. I wanna close my eyes and be transported back to this place. Sit on a bench, enjoying the quiet sounds of leaves swaying and the fish splashing in the pond. ^^

Very beautiful! Especially the statue in the pond with the fish swimming around <3. You make me want to go and see the outdoors, but I'm lazy and the weather is getting colder here xD.

Thank you for enjoying the images! Bummer that it’s getting colder. I’m pretty bad about leaving the house when the weather gets poor. I enjoy a good snuggle in my blankets/cave of fluff.

So lovely! I hope you get your terrarium soon!

Me too!! We have to do some spring cleaning and then I’ll get the ball rolling. :D

Lovely shots. That really looks like the Botanic Gardens in Dublin, which reminds me I really should visit that place again soon.

Oh! You should because I’m curious now!

didn't know there was a friendship plant, so cool :-)

I know! They’re so cute. They almost look like a prehistoric plant because of the textures.
