Low afternoon light shinning on many chairs. A strong feeling of emptiness reverberates through the cobble stones filling the atmosphere with uneasiness. It was shot in Krakow. It is a memorial to WW2.

I've heard a little story about those empty chairs.
I like photography and many times it is difficult to comment on a photo because the tastes are different or the techniques are not shared. However, in this photograph the brown-sepia obtained in the final art is charming. And even more, the note-legend that accompanies this photo says it all and one's heart is squeezed. Yes !!, there are only empty chairs left after WW2. Only the learning remained after the final battle. Only art remained to remind us in an elegant way what should never happen again. I really like that picture, @velimir. This distant distribution of the empty chairs, raised on a plate (or something similar that I cannot identify), already propitiates the interpretation, which is completed with the surface of the cobblestones and that twilight ("The sunset of the gods": I get the title of Nietzsche's book and Visconti's film). You get an extremely suggestive colour and nuances about the motif. A question: is it a sought-after photo or part of the record of a kind of performance?
This image reminded me of Christmas for Venezuelans this year: many empty chairs around the table. The children, brothers, couples, have left an empty space that is difficult to reoccupy. Only those of us who have felt the absence know how painful those empty chairs are. Hugs, @velimir!
