'A Flock'

crta.png

A huge flock of pigeons chooses to land all around. Standing in the middle, I don't remember birds choosing their location so intensely close to me. A weird moment happened out of the blue. Quite a magical one. One of those we are bound to miss if we become unaware that the life is made out of the small beautiful moments, not big tragical ones.

Being amidst all these flying creatures got me thinking of the human's old wish to freely glide among the clouds. A fulfilled one. People fly planes and a myriad of other flying devices which were unthinkable in the times when technology wasn't even a word.

Some people dislike pigeons. Call them flying rats. I disagree. Yeah, they poop all over the place but, then again, which living being doesn't? I have a bigger problem stepping into dog's pile than a pigeon's one. People are bound by law to collect after their dogs but it doesn't happen often. Good laws, insignificant fines, no inspection. 'Who cares?', in other words.

Check them out, standing in a formation, ready for a lift off at any time. It is incredible that they let me come this close, without any fear. It might be that they are not afraid because of large numbers surrounding me. Is it some kind of 'flock psychology' or are they simply not afraid of humans at all?

I wonder if one day the flying devices become so small and handy that we'll just lift off to our grocery shop. Happened to the radio, happened to telephones, happened to many other things. The future might easily bring that, too. Won't be healthy because people might stop walking... :D

Enjoy your day! :-)

Beautiful one @velimir. Nice Rock doves
I really love pigeons. So many mysteries about them. Atimes i wonder how they fly around town and still find their way home or to where they abide. Atimes i come to the conclusion that they have an in built map in them. :)
Another thing i love about them is that they are so closely tied with human civilizations that it's not entirely sure where they actually originated from
You get to see them in township areas. They know their place, they dont believe they should be caged. They do whatever they want when they want.

It is incredible that they let me come this close, without any fear. It might be that they are not afraid because of large numbers surrounding me. Is it some kind of 'flock psychology' or are they simply not afraid of humans at all?

I think it's just exposure; the pigeons you see have seen lots of people and they no longer elicit a panic response, and birds in general are pretty confident in their ability to just fly away if something dangerous gets too close. You see the same kind of brash animal behavior on a University quad when it comes to the squirrels; they'll attack people, steal food, sit on your knee, whatever they feel like doing.
On another note too, we humans behave in predictable ways which are beneficial to pigeons, like throwing breadcrumbs, people feed them and over time a trust is built that the pigeon cannot be afraid of the hand that feeds them.
If we suddenly started hunting and eating urban pigeons, I am relatively certain that we would get a very different response from our avian friends :)
As for the lifting to our grocery shop, i would not recommend, :) it will make life easier, but i will need to walk daily so that i can burn of some fat gotten fromFresh Cheese and cream with pepper and onions that i might take daily. Haha.
Have a great day.

Dove is a bird that is often used as a symbol of love in marriage.

No wonder there are many wedding invitations, greeting cards that use this pigeon image as a symbol of stone.

Apparently behind the use of this pigeon symbol for no reason. There is a philosophy that has the meaning of the dove. Do you know the doves are birds that do not have bile, so pigeons have no bitterness in life. It has the meaning of someone who does not bury the bitterness in life, meaning he is a person who has no grudge against anyone.

In addition, pigeons are birds that are faithful to their partners. Unlike some animals or birds that alternate couples to breed, pigeons are birds that are faithful to their partners. Pigeon pairs are usually one for a lifetime. That is the reason why pigeons are often used as a symbol of loyalty in relationships. Pigeons are birds that serve as a symbol of love loyalty. Pigeon knows very well how to build a partnership.

This is seen when Merpati cooperate nest. The males and females alternately take the twigs to nest their children. If the female incubates, sing guys from the cage. When singing pregnant females, give the male turtle and their child. So just a few reviews about pigeons are often used as a symbol of loyalty in love.

If the pigeon can be faithful, then how about with us?

Dove is the bird of the world. It's amazing that these pigeons are so bold and do not be afraid of your presence. This is not the first time that you share with us when animals are not afraid of you. For example, ponies that have recently become friends with you :)
Thanks to technological progress, people have learned to fly. But in our time we see a big technological leap. Quadrocopters are already being actively created for various purposes. There is a company that introduced the prototype of the first flying car. It works on electricity and therefore it can be called a big step forward. I am sure that in the not too distant future we will become witnesses of gradual changes.
Have a nice day

ah .. flying mice?
I hear it for the first time. and I'm sorry this definition.
Especially in Europe during the 16th and 18th centuries,
pigeon 's fertilization is highly valued. It turns out to be better quality than farm farming. They put the guards in front of the pigeon cages so you can not be stolen.
pigeons are really great. There is another house roof visible from my house window.
man feeding pigeons on the roof and there. I know there are 30 decks. some days, I watch them. Some are as pretty as white seagulls. I love photography and narration. I have never photographed the pigeons as models.
I will photograph them as soon as possible :)

Wow. How cool when an every day event happens to a great photographer with a camera in hand.

Maybe they viewed you as an easy mark with a bag of popcorn in your pocket? :) Or not...

Thanks for another magical encounter.

nope had nothing. didnt feed them. that's what's weird.

Pigeons was very friendly, and loved to be cuddled and stroked. If she wanted attention, she would call loudly from her aviary to be let out.

talking about pigeon; a pigeon went into my friend's house and decided to rest in the house! luckily, my friend is kind enough to give it water before allowing the pigeon to fly away from the house! my motorbike sometimes have bird shit.. haha.. oh well, some people mentioned it as "lucky shit".

Hola.
