Basdaku or white beach is located in the town of Moalboal, southern part of Cebu province in the Philippines. In local Cebuano dialect, Basdaku literally means 'Big Sand'. This is one of the most beautiful beach destinations in Cebu, known for its white sand, crystal clear waters, and long shoreline (that's why it's called 'Big').

Locals and tourists visit all year round, specially during summer as this happens to be a popular diving destination too. You can find lots of diving centers nearby who'll take you to the famous, Pescador Island.

ACCOMMODATION:
Several options are available if you intend to stay overnight or maybe longer. You can rent a room or if you're feeling a little luxurious, get a villa. It's still cheaper compared to other well-known beaches in Cebu.
If you're a carefree and adventurous type, you can either rent a tent or bring your own and just pay a little amount for space by the beach. For me, this is more exciting and cheap! (I'm on a budget)😁

FOOD:
Local restaurants 'karenderia' are everywhere. Fresh seafoods are the best. You can be a chef too and just buy your own ingredients from the local market. Some establishments provide cooking and kitchen utensils for free or for rent.

HOW TO GET THERE:
From Cebu City (Philippines), go to the South bus terminal (near E-mall) and take the Bato-via-Barili bus route. Just ask to be dropped off in Moalboal town proper then take a tricycle or local motorcycle (habal-habal) going to Basdaku beach (that's door-to-door delivery😉).
**Easy and convenient option??? Rent a car
