The Olympics is simply a money grab by commercializing sport as the business medium. No natural sports person can realistically compete in today's world of artificially chemically enhanced athletes; so simply it is all hype and marketing. The Rio games venues will be like these other venues except long after the games the people of Brazil will still be trying to pay the debt incurred. Not to mention the new numbers of killings and tortures by the local Brazilian police, no other national police force manages to 'decease' so many citizens per day...
At least some BMX bikers are getting some use out of part of that bobsled track. Everything else has just been left to rot. Such a waste.
It's crazy how we humans do that, huh? We destroy the homes of others to build these great structures and then just leave them abandoned.
It's crazy that there isn't a sustainable plan behind these facilities. Pretty sad.
