SINGAPORE - out of this world!

in #photography6 years ago

Hello fellow Steemians! Recently we visited Singapore and wanted to share our thoughts and some amazing night pictures of the city’s skyline!

Singapore has emerged as one of the world’s most prosperous countries. There is truly something special about the city, mysterious city vibes. We absolutely loved the city, it’s so developed, clean and modern. However, Singapore is one of only three surviving city-states in the world. The other two are Monaco and the Vatican City. It was interesting to find out that Singapore’s national anthem is in micro-text on the back of their $1,000 note. I guess they truly love their money and appreciate it as well.

Hope that these pictures will inspire you to visit Singapore one day! Let it be inspiration for those loving big city night vibes! Many expats and digital nomads choose to live and work in Singapore because it's in the heart of South East Asia. Such pristine vacation destinations such as Bali, Langkawi, islands in Thailand and the Philippines are just a stone's throw away. What's not to love?!

Nice one! And very nice pictures, they look like brochure photos :) I confess I didn't love Singapore so much, personally, for a specific reason. It looks EXACTLY... EXACTLY like Vancouver, Canada haha! And that's where I've lived for 11 years. It's crazy if you see photos of the downtown and the marina and compare the two.

But, I loooooooved the food in Chinatown, how cheap this food was, and there's a cool Tintin museum/store in Chinatown, one of only 5 of its kind in the world!

Take my money!

So happy to see other travelers on Steemit .... What are your travel plans for 2018? Also you should consider joining us on TravelFeed, we curate travel content and have a pretty sweet community on Discord. Hope to see you there soon!

Heey there @for91days! Yea, at first we thought that there would not be too many travellers here on Steemit. But we were wrong. That sounds amazing we would love to join a nice travel community. Could you send the discord info?

And about our travel plans. Currently, we are taking a rest in Thailand, just getting some work done. Otherwise it's really hard to get stuff done when you are moving all the time. So staying in Thailand until end of April and then who actually knows. We have some ideas in our mind. But it also depends on the near future plans as well. Either going to do Central and Latin americas or continue exploring here in SEA.

This is our discord: https://discord.gg/jWWu73H I'll keep looking for you :)

If you decide to go to Vietnam ... let us know, we've spent there 6 month last year and loved it!

So happy to connect!

Thanks for the link. Will make sure to check it out.

We travel for a month from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi in late September last year. Absolutely loved the country - the food (PHO for the win), the nature and the Vietnamese people - had such a fun there. Might consider going back there, some of our friends suggested that they would love to travel with us and that one of their dream destination is Vietnam. So will see...

We miss the food .... and there is so much more than Pho .. it's crazy. So yesterday I got out our pressure cooker and made my own. And it turned out not too bad. Would have invited you to a bowl or two :)

Thank you for visiting Singapore. I am a Singaporean and I am glad that my country has given you a good impression. A little upvote from me!

Thanks a lot @fun2learn! Maybe next time when we are in Singapore we can meet up for a coffee or a beer.
