Vietname #5: I need more time with you, Vietnam.
The more time I spend in Vietnam the more I realize how little I know about this country. For instance, more than 40% of the Vietnamese has the same surname, Nguyen. It is because when Nguyen Dynasty took power, most Vietnamese who feared being executed changed their name to Nguyen due to the new regime.
Oh i see. How about the 'Tran'? I would love to go to Vn. I just love their food. And the landscape looks amazing! I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!:)
Nguyen is the first and Tran is the second most common surname.
Yups but didnt know the origin of tran. But then i googled. I quote from google: "Origin of the surname Chen, Chang, Tan, Tran (Vietnamese) The 5th most common last name in China"
They are all the same surname, it's only different ethnic from China.(That's why it spelled different)

Yes I know 5 Vietnamese people only one has that surname mind you 3 are woman and use hubbys surname
one out of five, that already said something.
