Goosing Around

I saw this goose today and had to stop and take a picture. It might be an ordinary bird, but it's beautiful and interesting to watch.

I think this first picture captures the animal in its environment quite well. Geese like to hang around in the water and catch food. To my surprise they were actually eating grass.

Or perhaps the bugs on the grass? Or both? Anyway, I am grateful that they are part of our local ecosystem 👍❤
