Stargazing Photographer of the Year 2017 waitlist

in #photography7 years ago

The Milky Way transcends a little radio telescope from a huge cluster at Miyun Station, National Astronomical Observatory of China, in suburbia of Beijing. The picture delineates the consistently developing light contamination we now encounter, which together with electromagnetic clamor has turned numerous optical and radio observatories close urban communities both visually impaired and hard of hearing – a fight that enlivened the photographic artist's title of the shot. The picture utilized a light contamination channel (iOptron L-Pro) and various casing stacking to get the vast majority of the Milky Way out of the city light.

The Royal Museums Greenwich has declared the waitlist for its ninth yearly Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year rivalry. A great many sections were gotten from more than 90 nations; victors will be reported on September fourteenth.

Here are only a modest bunch of the more than 130 pictures that made the waitlist – make a beeline for the Royal Museums Greenwich site to take in more about the opposition.
