RE: Little Monsters - Part 30: Redback Spider!

in #photography8 years ago

I LOVE SPIDERS!!!! Wow thank you so much for the information and pictures.

Personally I have 2 spiders as pets, they are Colorado Native "Brown Desert Tarantulas" or something like that. I am unsure, as I caught them during mating season while they were crossing the highway! Probably saved them from being squished or frozen. Either way, thank you for posting this amazing story! I love the stories you post so keep it up!~

Thank you very much @timbo! I had a quasi-pet jumping spider, it hung out in the hermit crabs habitat for a while, free to come and go as it pleased. :)

Oh wow that is awesome! It didn't hurt the crabs?

Sounds amazing, spiders are amazing little creatures for sure.

Nah, Jumping spiders are really small and prey on similar sized things, the crab, leg span of about 8cm is definitely off the menu! The spider was just using the habitat as shelter, maybe eating some little bugs I saw in there earlier that were on the crabs food and droppings, but not on the crab thankfully!

Yes thankfully, that is awesome though for sure. I miss having sea creatures. I used to have a big tank with all kinds of things in them when I lived on the coast. :)
