Long exposure, light trails. Mavic pro camera test.

in #photography9 years ago

Testing the long exposure of a DJI Mavic Pro camera seemed like a promising idea. For this test the drone was sat stationary on the overpass wall looking down the highway.

Straight away you can see blur in the photo. The quality of the photo was a little below satisfactory. If I compare it to other night photos- the photos I took while flying, then the results are vastly different.

Vibrations from the bridge as traffic passed, a change in settings- or the wrong camera setting or a dirty lens were the 3 main factors I consider to be at fault- doesn't really narrow it down much!

This photo above was the sharpest. Looking at the fuzzy outlines of - all objects, it is easy to see the issue. At least there was still some traffic late at night to catch the light trails.

Doah! Vibration is so sneaky. Fun shots! Cool blue lights too.

Yeah even the slightest bit of movement was enough

Do you use zoom when you're doing this? 😳

Not camera zoom, but they were cropped in post editing.

Wow, that shot seems difficult enough without the zoom. I can't help but wonder what someone would do if they had to zoom in a situation like that. Maybe a gimbal, an extremely expensive gimbal Lol?

Stunning photography..
enjoy the upvote and you can do the same...
