Bower Bird, Collecting Blue
During a recent fossick through the Australian bush, in my search for antique bottles and relics, i came across something filled my heart with joy.
Low and behold, a Satin Bower Bird nest,
The male collects blue objects of all kinds, decorating and re-decorating, over and over again in a attempt to attract a mate. It is quite a delicate process, the mating rituals performed are quite extraordinary.
Here's another angle.

It almost has a steem feel to it.
Thanks for stopping by.

That's fascinating how it collects a specific shade of blue! Thanks for introducing me to the Satin Bower Bird. How often do you find antique bottles and relics in the Australian bush?
Dang.. that's outstanding! I've heard about those birds.. amazing that they've evolved so artistically
Hey @scuzzy, they say it his way of showing off his own color, i originally presumed it had something to do with how the bird perceives the light spectrum.
As for the bottles and relics,
every time.....
I will be sharing my collection and an article on how/where to find treasure
