My lil Chicka is literally killin' it.
I'm pretty sure that's a spider she got. She was not super happy with me yesterday when I took a shot of her all wet in the rain and her feathers were a mess. If I really look into my heart I can see it was thoughtless. So I decided to try to redeem myself and see if I could get another shot or three.
One thing that was pretty hard to take
was that five minutes after I packed down my camera stuff to put my images on the computer, I looked out in the front yard and there was the elusive bluejay I have been looking for all spring. What a spectacular bird! I can only hope I'll get him nest time.

This appears to be an Eastern Phoebe Sayornis phoebe Where was the photo taken? If in the eastern U.S. I'm likely right.
Pretty likely from what I can tell. Southern Ontario, Canada is eastern enough I'm guessing.
