TRAVELLING TO THE FOOTHILLS OF GREAT HIMALAYAS MOUNTAIN RANGE : JOURNEY STARTING TODAY : LACCHIWALA & BUDDHIST TEMPLE #post1

I have been looking for some peace and fun since quite a few days and badly wanted to go to some hilly area and so were my friends. So we had a plan of leaving today midday and fortunately we started our journey without any significant hurdles.

We do not have an exact plan of as to where exactly are we heading and what areas are we going to cover.

Here is me when we made a stop in the evening by side of a mountain at a little dhaba to eat maggi :

Today evening, we made some quick stops in our journey to DEHRADUN ( a beautiful hilly city located at the foothills of Himalayas). I said quick because till the evening we had no idea of where would we stay tonight but now as i am writing the post we have found a good camping location in SHIVPURI and BYASI and we are heading there.

The places we went through today late evening are LACCHIWALA AND BHUDHA TEMPLE in DEHRADUN which are quite famous tourist spots.

LACCHIWALA :

This place was serene and a bit scary too. Serene because it was so calm and natural that i could hear all the noises of a forest, for example, the insect zzzzzzzz sound, birds sounds and every little sound could be heard. And then to add, there were monkeys in open and not even a single human being we could spot except me and my friends. The place was indeed beautiful and we investigated and found out that we visited it late in the evening and it is within the forest so people stop coming by late evening here because of the animals . So hearing this we also left the place and i just took some pictures of it. It was basically a river which was natural but the flow control was man made and it was between forests and we went around 1.5-2 kilometers inside the forest by our SUV car to reach this place LACCHIWALA. Finding more on this we got to know the water of this river was coming from Sahastradhara.

BHUDHA TEMPLE :

BHUDHA TEMPLE was our first stop though before Lacchiwala but it was really quick one because when we went the doors of the bhudha temple were already closed for the time being and were opening back after an hour. Looking at the time and reaching somewhere and finding a place for tonight beimg most important, we kept this place to be visited again on our journey back to home. Below are some quick shots i took of bhudha temple :

For now we have found a really good place to stay tonight and below is a picture of one stop we made around to change clothes and eat and freshen up :
