A symbol of GOOD LUCK on my workplace forever :

Dear steemit friends,

As the 10 days long festival 'Ganesh Utsav' is over in India and lord Ganpati will be visiting next year now, i decided to bring a gesture of his 'good luck presence' in my everyday life.

So for this purpose i have brought his little cute idol on my desk at my workplace to keep some real solid positive energy around me.

Here is the sneak peak, i am in love with this idol, seriously, little shiny cute colorful :

Who is Ganesha?

Ganesha is a hindu lord known for good luck and as a remover of obstacle. Whenever we start something new, he is the one who must be remebered. Whenever there some obstacles in life or work or anywhere, his blessings are just what we need. Though i dont have any obstacles at work but needed something really good to stare at, may be. Lord Ganpati is known by many names, Ganesha, Ganpati and Vinayak being the popular ones. His most famous attribute is his elephant's head.

What is Ganesh Utsav?

It is religious festival in india to celebrate lord 'Ganpati'. It comes once in a year and is celebrated continously for approximately 10 days and in this period, GANPATTI BAPPA( Indian God known for GOODLUCK)' idols are bought and brought in homes and in streets(special good arrangements are made to worship god's idol). Lord Ganpati is worshipped with such immense love which goes on for 10 days. At the end of the festival, idol of lord GANPATI is submerged in rivers in an ausipicious way as a goodbye to him and people ask him to visit their home next year for sure.

Here is my lord resting on my desk:

As part of the festival, all normal beings like me go to lord ganpati for his blessings.
