Schönbrunn

No palace has ever so impressed me. I fell in love at first sight. Like the Emperor Joseph I in Versailles, he modeled it to be erected under a Viennese residence. Its construction began in 1696, but it was completed only during the reign of Maria Teresa. This is a place full of great history: apparently childhood spent here Maria Antonina, delighted young Mozart with her empress concerts, in the meantime her staff had Napoleon Bonaparte here, and later Emperor Franciszek Józef was born and died.

We arrived at the museum quite early in the morning. It protected us from big queues and allowed us to take nice pictures without crowds of tourists, but it cost a lot (literally, because we paid a lot for parking).

We spent some time in each of the gardens. We looked inside and left delighted (much later than planned). Below the picture of the garden, the interior is not allowed to photograph.
