A walk through the Bahá'í Gardens
Hi, Steemit!!!
The majestic Bahai Gardens, located on the slopes of Mount Carmel in Haifa, resemble biblical hanging gardens. The man-made park zone in the north of Israel is divided into nineteen terraces cascading down to the coast of the Haifa Bay. Kilometer terraces in width from 60 to 400 meters lead to the main architectural symbol of the place - the golden-domed temple, crowned with a 40-meter dome. The picturesque garden and park ensemble is a symbol of the religious doctrine of the Bahá'ís, whose essence boils down to the search for pure love, orderliness and harmony.
The gardens designed by the architect Fariborz Sahba were opened for visiting in 2001, and seven years later - included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A very nice contribution, which I take with for "My Steemit Favorites Part 31.
