The best sunset I have photographed
The rise or set of the sun has attracted photographers both professional and amateur for a long time. It may have something to do with the sybolism of new beginnings and closure as much as it has to do with the sheer volume of range and variety on offer. No two are ever the same. As a result, there are plenty of great sunset photos around.
These were taken as I was driving home and by chance, had a camera in the car. What made the sunset so wonderful was the mix of conditions with which it coincided. Falling rain, clear patches of sky, rolling clouds, a calm lake, the silhouette of an old factory, the boats in harbour and of course my awesome dog. These were taken over the space of about 45 minutes. The sun sets slow in the Finnish Summer.
The camera does not do it justice, but hopefully you enjoy nonetheless.

You are welcome. It really was. So much so that my wife reminds me of her memories of it sometimes when we drive past that area.
