An Interesting exhibit in Russia
When in St Petersburg, my wife and I visited the Hermitage museum which we found well worth the time. It was a fantastic building itself and had a brilliant range of exhibits.
At the time we were visiting Russia, there was quite a lot of media outrage at the treatment of gays in the country. We found that they hadn't got the message in St Petersburg as there were many same-sex couples openly being together and rainbow flags all over the city.

At the Hermitage, I noticed this exhibit and found it interesting considering what we had heard. I think the tombstone quote on the main image above is worth a read.
It is very easy to build a view and opinions of something through the eyes of others but it may not always be an accurate description given.
I am far from qualified from commenting on the politics of the country but from our view, it was a lovely and lively place to visit where people were open and friendly.
And sushi available all night was an unexpected bonus.
