Ruins of castles in the black forest - a view in mystical times

These photos were taken on a trip through the southern black forest.

As I entered the outer calstles wall, there was this beautiful rest of a gate

The second gate int that wall, very small, but beautiful in a magical way.

There was not so much left of the walls, but it gave a smooth light when the sun was shining. It is interesting to imagine the floors and the view from the highest floor and the rooftop.

This wall makes me wanna climb up ;-)

Another picture from the outside.

The yard with the well and an under-earth hall. Sadly the well was not that deep. I have been at other cool locations where I had to drop a litle stone and measure the time till it reaches the bottom to calculate the depth.

Yeah, perfect light and a good perspective that makes it look even more huge than it is.

It feels like standing on top of the world when you are at this point.
A perfect view over the hills and villages of the balck forest.
