Yeah staying dry is really hard to come by out there. Definitely interested in helping to generate some content that would help you too. What kind of adult social leagues do you post about? There are a lot of whitewater rafting teams out there who we are always trying to help promote. It really helps them to have some more publicity talking about some really awesome whitewater athletes. Would love to collaborate!
I never realized that there were teams who competed in whitewater rafting! Shoot, how do you put together a team and practice? Is it a tournament circuit regionally or nationally or a local club level competition?
If you write any posts about these teams and the competitions, how to get into the sport, about the governing body, local club fund drives (like poker runs?) and of course standings and results, I would love to resteem or write a post with links back. That's what I'm trying to do This post LINK is actually directed at recruiting host and sponsor establishments for leagues, but it kind gives a rough idea of what traditionally falls under the social sports category .
Really though the only factors are-- people over 21 years old gathering to compete on a regular basis and socializing... That's it! I've seen flip cup leagues hosted every Saturday afternoon in college bars and bocce evenings at a winery with jazz band playing afterwards...
Friendly competition, it's what we all need a little more of, no matter the setting
