Editing animal pictures
This is the first time I went into photo editing. So I browsed through my catalog of travel pictures and though I would start with animal pictures. The first four pictures are tries are of 3 monkeys and 1 lion, so unfortunately not that diverse. I would love to receive some feedback and things that I can improve for the next time.
Here are the results:
Ring-tailed lemur
Picture is taken in a zoo (Apenheul in the Netherlands).
Vervet Monkey
Both pictures are taken in Tarangiri National Park, Tanzania
Lion
The lion picture is taken at Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda
Hamadryas Baboon
Picture taken in a safari park (Beekse Bergen), in the Netherlands

The first one is very good. Good control of the separation of the subject from the background. The second and third pictures are too obvious that a brush control has been used. Try blending the change in exposure more subtly to make the image more natural. The lion looks good with the mysterious style.
For the baboon, I would add a bit of exposure to his face so we can see his expression better.
I have a series of YouTube video on basic editing. You can find them here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6GF-mMvWLVqBytKr2Ja93UrJvJJuHmK6
It's mostly on landscape photography. But the same brush control can be applied to anything.
Great, thanks for the tips. This is the first time I did some editing and my plan was for tonight to check my city pictures and maybe go for some black and white for this. I will have a look at your YouTube channel for this!
Nice animals... But photography is super. Good job. Now I'm following you ...
Thanks for the positive response. This was my first try of photo editing, I have a lot of travel pictures on my computer and never did something with them. So I will try to do some editing in the future. I will update the results here on Steemit. Thanks for following.
Wow, fantastic images! What photo editing platform did you use to edit these? Just curious because I could give many tips for Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. Awesome work!
Great work!
Thanks
Very nice pictures!
