Who doesn't love a sunset?
About 12 years ago I moved from the landlocked Midlands (UK) to the coast. The Norfolk coast to be more specific. A place called Hunstanton. The locals call it Hunston but I never do and never shall.
One of the wonderous things about Hunstanton is the sunset. Sunsets over the sea can be pretty special. Sunset at Hunstanton is extra special. You see, Hunstanton is on the EAST coast of the UK but it's unique position on The Wash means that the town actually faces west, so the sun sets over The Wash.
This has attracted many tourists over the years and indeed it is something the locals appreciate greatly. Not only for the trade it brings to the town but for the natural beauty. No two sunsets are ever the same and it truly is a wonderful place to be.
The best sunsets are in early Spring, late autumn (fall) and wintertime. That's because, apart from being at a fairly reasonable time of the day, there is less condensation/fewer clouds on the horizon on a clear day. The summer sunsets are often lost in the sunset mist.
I no longer live there (sadly) but I will return to live there one day. In the meantime, I'm not so far away that I can't visit - which is a good thing.
Here are some of the shots I've taken over the years.(forgive someof the quality - taken with an old 3mpixel phone years ago)
