"The Hallucinogenic Toreador." Dali

Salvador Dali painted this massive oil on canvas one of the last artwork he ever complete.

Dali was around 66 years old when he produced this amazing and unique artwork painting from 1969 to 1970.

This masterpiece exhibits his fascination with symbols and images. The painting is made with warm colors, from the pink to orange pastel colors.

The whole scene is contained in a bullfight arena and has multiple overlapping images. Some of the images Dali included are small images of himself as a child, and a toreador (bullfighter).

At the top of the painting, the shocking beautiful red of the cloth draped around the "Venus de Milo"'s Waist!!!

"Venus de Milos" ancient statue represents Aphrodite. One of the most famous examples of Ancient Greek, sculpture.

Gala, his wife up left corner, the flies, the bullhead.

Cubism is also hinted in the painting in the lower left-hand corner.

This painting is huge! It creates a strong impact on all who observe and amazes with a sense of discovery when people find the "hidden" images.

This painting is a story of a toreador (bullfighter) and his love for the Venus, the Venus de Milo is the most prominent figure in the painting, appearing 30 times.

It is truly an amazing and fascinating painting to experience up close! There are some hidden images which look like they are moving in multiple dimensions before your eyes!
