RE: Enjoy and have a laugh along the way as long as it lasts!

Thank God nothing bad happened to all of you. The shock is probably still in the limbs.
I had an accident once. I try to rehearse consciousness every day so that I can react with lightning speed. Because you have to be able to react as quick as lightning, especially when driving a car. I already notice that I am becoming more conscious and can really drive a car consciously, but I am still even though too slow in life.

Thank you @suntree!

I'm very thankful that nobody got hurt seriously!

You do the same as me regarding possible accident prevention! Over the years I've changed my driving style more and more to being very cautious and careful but still there are situations that are out of your own control like this accident here!

If someone crosses your lane in the millisecond you are at this spot there's nothing that you can do to prevent the collision. I was driving way under the allowed speed limit there because it was raining and the traffic was pretty packed anyways and still that Lady that drove into us managed to hit us.

What I also learned is that you need as much as possible passive safety around you. That's why we drive a car like that. I'm almost certain that with an other car the consequences of this impact would have been much worse. Not only for us but also for the Lady that took our right away as well as her kid. The way that the Mercedes Benz E-Class destroys impact energy by crumbling in a very safe manner without compromising the passenger compartment is very impressive and highly efficient. Also the sheer array of airbags inside the car, I think there are in total 18 airbags built into this car, gives extra security.

So the successor of our smushed car will be an E-Class again and tbh with even more safety features than this one had!

Cheers!
