The Flowers my Grandmother planted.
My maternal grandmother Hazel loved flowers and she and my grandfather planted many on our farm
. 70 to 80 years later I still enjoyed the flowering shrubs she and Grandpa planted so long ago.

I miss my Mom and Grandmother but their flowers help me remember them.
Do you happen to know what the red shrub is in the 4th picture? I have one growing behind my fence and have always wondered what it was.
My Gram is 77. Last year she planted a pecan and two peach trees. Just little guys. I asked her how long she thought it be before they produced. She said, "They aren't for me." Then she told me a story about her dad. He planted trees up until the year he died. He told her that we don't plant trees for us. We plant them for our children.
