Sometimes it's easier to dream a life, than to live the reality.
I saw you in my head lastnight,
The most unlikely of scenes.
Swimming upstream, naked & bare - you'd never give me a second chance.
I was yours & you were mine,
Though in reality - we're walking mysteries.
Removing all innocence right before my eyes,
This infatuation's just a dream.
I look at your face & I find comfort,
I look at your eyes & find puzzles.
Maybe it's a sign there's more than this,
Maybe it's safer to take the road that winds.
Take that chance & you might find,
Your dreams unfolding before your eyes.
Elusive mysteries seem to draw you in,
Dear child take care that you dont fall in!
People will tell you that you shouldn't,
People will show you that you cant.
But dont be afraid to drink from the silver,
Only fools tread the shallow.
Take off those concealers & you will find,
Love will last for all of time.
So flex your wings & take to the night,
Take from reality only what you need.
Live a little dream,
Smile - it's a brand new day.
In dreams,
We look from above.
We see the sun,
& we close our eyes.
Don't retreat.
Don't retreat!
Just open your eyes & forget.
It's all in your head,after all.
